Oltre 2008/09 Arctic Expedition:

The Expedition will following Roald Amundsen’s journey along the Arctic Ocean and the North East Passage.
The journey is from the North Cape in Norway to the Bering Sea, 8,700 miles (14,100 Km) on pack ice. They will experience the harshest of the Siberian winter with temperatures ranging from -13’F to -58’F (-25C to –50C). The expedition will span six months, from November 2008 until March 2009.

Equipped with 5 Adventure Trailers modified for Cold Weather Conditions, and IVECO Massif and Daily vehicles.

IVECO Massif Vehicles and Chaser Trailers. The trailers have been modified with 250 liter diesel fuel cells that are hydronically heated to prevent the diesel from gelling.  
   
The Oltre Expedition arrives at the North Cape in Norway. The cab controlled electric brakes on the trailers provide the driver with additional control over the icy roads.
